Yosemite Family Travel Guide – Where To Stay and What To Do

Yosemite is a wonderful place to take a family trip! I recently visited with a baby and a toddler and we honestly had a blast! We went for two nights and three days. Here are my tips:

Where to Stay in Yosemite

Tenaya Lodge is the place to stay with your family. You have everything you can possibly need on site and there is so much for the kids to do. We loved the splash pad and all the fun outdoor games. We stayed in a double queen room in the main lodge, and there was plenty of room for all of us and even a crib.

You honestly can’t beat the location! The staff is also incredibly helpful and the food on site is super tasty. We went in the heat of summer, so next time I would love to experience winter or fall.

Yosemite Park Day Trip Guide:

Here is a wonderful day trip guide to Yosemite that is especially helpful for first timers. Keep in mind this itinerary is built around entering from the south gate.

We really enjoyed this Yosemite day trip and we saw so many of the greatest hits including Glacier Point, Tunnel View and El Capitan. Keep in mind if you are traveling in July, August and September the digits can get well into the high nineties and even triple digits, so plan accordingly!
