I don’t know about you guys, but this heat is really taking a toll on me. When it comes to my makeup, I need products that won’t smudge or budge in the heat and humidity and feel super lightweight on my skin. Here are a few of my summertime makeup favorites:
A Lightweight Base
One of my go-to foundations for the summer has to be Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation SPF 15. I love this makeup! It’s water-based, not oil-based, so it’s moisturizing and it doesn’t feel heavy on my skin. It has SPF 15 sunscreen in the formula and it has anti-aging ingredients to help fight sun damage. It has a medium coverage finish too, so it looks really natural.
If I’m looking for an even lighter finish – which is so great for summer – I’ll reach for Derma-E Tinted Moisturizing BB Cream SPF 30. I like to use it as an all-in-one primer, moisturizer, foundation and sunscreen. It hydrates, it protects skin and it evens out any redness. All-Day (and All-Night) Eyes
Lately I’ve been reaching for Givenchy’s Solar Pulse Summer Collection a lot. Their Ombré Interdite Cream Eyeshadow is one of my new favorites. It’s a liquid-to-cream formula that lasts a full 24 hours – it’s really no joke! I love how easy to blend this eyeshadow is, and the smoky colors are just right for any summer party makeup looks. I also like to define my eyes with their Liner Disturbia Eyeliner. It has an ultra-thin tip that’s so easy to use and apply. Plus it’s completely waterproof, so you really can’t go wrong.
Hot Summer Lips
On my lips during the summer I really like Givenchy Beauty’s Encre Interdite Lip Ink. It’s a full-coverage lip stain so it’s great for really high-impact color (Which is always so fun on summer nights!) and it’s formulated to last a full 24 hours. I can swipe it on in the morning, and it’ll look just as great as the sunsets. I usually top it off with the Gloss Interdite Vinyl, especially the vibrant Solar Orange color from the Summer Collection. It’s super shiny without being sticky and believe me, when it’s humid out, that’s the last thing I want to deal with!
Summertime Glow
I love a swipe of highlighter during the summer. It gives that perfect dewy glow. A bronzing highlighter like Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder is especially great because it makes you look sunkissed too. I love the marbled finish of this product, it looks so natural and seamless! Plus how pretty does that packaging look?
Set it In Place
The most important summer beauty solution has to be the right setting spray. A cult classic like Urban Decay All Nighter Summer Solstice Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray is one of my absolute favorites. It has the same smudge-proof effect as their regular makeup spray, but this version has the most delicious tropical scent. It puts me in a vacation mindset whenever I spritz it on, and it keeps my makeup in place even in the dead of summer!
