Five Fall Fashion Trends to Try

Five Fall Fashion Trends to Try

Are you loving this fall weather? I sure am! There are so many things to love about the season… the coffee, the changing leaves and of course, the clothes! As I start switching my wardrobe over to my fall favorites, I’m also turning my attention to some of the big trends this season. In fact, I rounded up five of my favorite fall fashion trends just for you!

Wild about Animal Print

Is there anything chicer than leopard print? I don’t think so! It’s so versatile and easy to style – and it’s right on trend for fall. An easy way to work the pattern into your outfit? Try a pair of boots! I am loving these Siena Chelsea Boots by Linea Paolo. Just style them with jeans and a sweater or your favorite fall dress and you’re ready to go!

I also think a leopard print coat makes any look instantly glamorous. The Josephine Coat by Cabi is such a cute faux fur option. It’s really amazing for parties too!

A jumpsuit like this Paris cheetah print sequin jumpsuit from Sho would look amazing with heels and a clutch for both date night or an evening out with the girls.

Mixing Prints

When the fall weather strikes, I like to switch from my breezy summer dresses to pretty jewel-toned styles. Colors like rich red, forest green and bold navy work really well for the season – plus they absolutely pop against the changing leaves, meaning you’ll get some great photographs!

Speaking of photographs, you might have seen this Tanya Taylor Clarisse Dress on my Instagram recently. First of all, the pretty ruching at the side is really flattering and gives anybody an hourglass waist. Second of all, the flowers! Who says you can’t do florals for fall? This dress is living proof. Style it with a bold striped bag and you are working one of the biggest fall fashions trends, mixed prints!

The 70’s and 80’s are Back Baby!

When I was in NYC for fashion week last month, 70’s and 80’s-inspired looks were one of the biggest street style trends in the whole city. Taking that as my inspiration, I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect pair of flared jeans for the season. My favorite so far? These Lee High-Rise Flares from Free People. The faded details feel so authentic, like a real vintage piece! Here I’ve styled it with the House of Harlow 1960 x Revolve Nanette Blouse. I’m also imagining these with cool sweaters and T-shirts, plus sneakers too.

And Benetton is back baby!  I had the pleasure of attending the Benetton Los Angeles Pop-Up at Santa Monica Place and fell in love with all of the brightly colored designs and fun 80’s vibes.  One of my absolute favorite pieces is this iconic knit cape with a high collar, which is part of the new knitwear designed and revamped by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. Featuring a rainbow of inlays, quality threads and all the expertise that the Benetton tradition embodies. It is sure to brighten up any winter day!

Mad About Plaid

When you think about fall fashion, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? I bet you’re thinking a cozy plaid flannel. Now, I love a good flannel as much as the next person, but there are so many other pieces that have cool checks – and the same cozy factor!

For example, this Ginny Coat from Song of Style is decorated with a classic check that feels so evocative of the season. I can just imagine wearing this one with skinny jeans and knee boots.

This Karen shirtdress from one of my favorite brands Veronica Beard is like the grown-up version of that oversized flannel you used to wear. I love the metallic accents and the grungy hardware, it’s got just the right amount of edge to it.

All About Ankle Boots

It just wouldn’t be fall without boots right? I found two pairs of great ankle boots that I’m really excited about. The first is these pointy Nikita II Booties from Linea Paolo. The buckles remind me of cool motorcycle boots and the kitten heel is really comfortable – meaning you can wear them all day long!

Also at the top of my wishlist are The North 2 Boots, also from Linea Paolo. Don’t these remind you of fishnet stockings? I’ll be wearing these with black skinny jeans and leggings this season!

Will you be trying these fall trends?
