Why am I so nervous sharing this!? My husband and I have decided to try for baby #3!! EEEEK!!! He is 54 and I am 41 and we are parents to our two sons, Asher and Xander, who are four and two-years-old.
Why I’m Trying to Get Pregnant at 41:
I got started later in life and became a mother for the first time at 37. I loved being a mother more than I ever anticipated, so we tried for baby #2 and got pregnant right away. I gave my birth to my second son at age 39. When I turned 40, I got this feeling my family wasn’t quite complete.
There is so much that goes into this decision, so I filmed a video for you:
Is it Harder Going from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 Kids?
This is such a big question for my husband. If we have a third, he will be 55 and is struggling with not having enough time to know his children. We have heard mixed reactions from other parents on this question. For some they said 1 to 2 is MUCH HARDER, and others say going from 2 to 3 is harder because you are outnumbered.
Chances are Slim
Ultimately my husband and I have decided to go for it! As you learn in my video, we both have had spiritual experiences and feel that a soul is calling out to us. Statistically the chances of conceiving naturally at my age is less than 5%.
I experienced a chemical pregnancy in September, which I talk about in this video:

I am going to continue to share my experience in hopes that it helps others. And please, if you feel comfortable, share your experience in the comments below.
