Yountville: Our Napa Valley Haven for a Family Getaway

Yountville: Our Napa Valley Haven for a Family Getaway

Yountville, nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, has become my personal paradise. When planning a family getaway with my husband and our 11-month-old, I knew this charming town was the perfect destination to share my love for wine country.

A Home Away From Home at Hotel Villagio

We made Hotel Villagio at the Estate Yountville our base, and it was the ideal choice. Our spacious room provided a comfortable retreat, and the stunning Rendez Veuve Spa was a must-visit for both my husband and me. We indulged in the most incredible massages, followed by relaxing dips in the pool. The morning breakfast buffet was a delightful way to start each day, and the outdoor yoga sessions among the vineyards were a peaceful and rejuvenating experience.

Taking leisurely walks around the beautiful property was a daily ritual, and we enjoyed the evening music in the lobby and complimentary wine tastings as a relaxing way to wind down. The hotel’s restaurant offered delicious cuisine, and the complimentary car service made exploring the town a breeze.

A Culinary Adventure

Beyond the hotel, Yountville’s culinary scene did not disappoint. We enjoyed a memorable Sunday brunch at Bottega Napa Valley, where the attentive service and divine food made for a truly enjoyable experience. The restaurant’s beautiful ambiance and the opportunity to stroll through the gardens after our meal added to the overall charm.

Another culinary highlight was R+D Kitchen, where our little one had a blast feeding the fish while we waited for our delicious meal to arrive. The sushi, salads, drinks and everything else we tried were top-notch.

Wine Tasting and More

Of course, no trip to Napa Valley would be complete without wine tasting! We visited Silver Trident Winery and enjoyed their unique potato chip and wine pairing experience. We booked a private room for a more intimate and personalized experience and left with a couple of bottles to savor later.

Yountville’s charming town square offers a delightful array of art galleries, boutiques, and shops to explore. We spent hours browsing through the various offerings and found some unique treasures.

A Family-Friendly Destination

Our trip to Yountville was a fantastic family getaway. From the luxurious accommodations at Hotel Villagio to the diverse culinary experiences and the opportunity to explore the beautiful vineyards, there was something for everyone. We can’t wait to return to this enchanting town and create more unforgettable memories.
