Who else loves a themed birthday!? I spent Saturday with Netflix Family and they treated me and the boys to some epic birthday party inspo. 🥳 Here are some of the tips we learned!
6 Super Cool Things to Try For Your Kid’s Birthday Party
🎂Piece of Cake!
For the budding baker, throw a DIY cake making party with individual cakes for each guest to decorate and take home. Turn up the heat and make it a competition, a la Is It Cake?, with light-hearted awards like “Best Use of Sprinkles” and “Most Unique Piping.”
🏎️ Give Me an “N”!
Use toys or objects that nod to your kid’s favorite things – like Hot Wheels Let’s Race toy cars – to make an eye-catching sign of their name or first initial to display at the party entrance.
🦎 Lizards and Snakes and Iguanas, Oh My!
Feed your kid’s reptile fascination by throwing a party complete with “dirt cup” snacks filled with gummy snakes and frogs, games like “pin the tail on the lizard,” and a visit from real-life lizards and turtles, like in Leo.
🍿Let’s Go to the Movies!
Host a VIP screening of your kid’s favorite movie or show (on Netflix, of course!), decked out with a red carpet entrance to their very own outdoor theater. Hit play on the projector while kids help themselves to buttery popcorn and the ultimate build-your-own snack bar.
😻 Get Crafty!
Is your little one in their crafting era? Bring Gabby’s Dollhouse to life with a craft-tacular make-your-own cat ears headband station and friendship bracelet bead bar. Be sure to make one for you and one for your bestie!
🦖 Dino-mite!
Turn your local park into your very own Jurassic World: Chaos Theory with a scavenger hunt collecting hints and dino fossils along the way.
The Cocomelon section was a huge hit too and works great as a theme for a second birthday party! Visit NetflixFamily.com for downloadable birthday party kits along with more activities, crafts, recipes and coloring sheets to use at your next party!
