Now that Halloween is behind us, we are about to be smack, dab, in the middle of holiday cocktail party season! This means we have more opportunities to show off our fab selves and incredible wardrobe, but it also means late nights socializing, less sleep and higher consumption of not so healthy foods and alcohol. Luckily, I’ve put together a fool proof guide for all my social butterflies on How to Stay Looking Fabulous This Holiday Party Season!
Tip 1: Take Extra Special Care of Your Skin
I cannot stress this enough! When clocking longer hours most likely in more makeup than usual, you must thoroughly cleanse your face at night. I highly recommend using a Clarisonic Cleansing Brush at night and your favorite moisturizing mask 2 to 3 times a week. I’m currently obsessed with Peter Thomas Roth’s Cucumber Gel Mask… it is divine!
Tip 2: Add Some Sparkle
This is applicable for both your makeup and your wardrobe. Sparkle truly lights up your look! I especially love the shimmery eye shadows in Urban Decay’s Naked Palette. Running on empty? Try sweeping the sparkly pink in the corners of your eye for an instant brightening effect. And you know my closet if full of fun sequined cocktail dresses, so join me in wearing your favorite shiny number this holiday season. All eyes will be on you!
Tip 3: Be Careful What You Consume
Small bites and passed appetizer plates can be deceiving – it all adds up! You most likely will consume much more than you think, so pay attention. I suggest having a healthy snack before you head out, so you don’t arrive to the party starving. Also, I know we love our bubbly but don’t go too crazy on the champagne. The bubbles tend make you bloated the next day and the sugar can be sneaky (can you say champagne headache at work = no fun).
Tip 4: Have the Most Fun Ever
This is the most important thing! No use in beating yourself up over missed gym sessions and unintentional splurges. This is an incredible time of year! And we have New Year’s to make up for any mistakes
