The Ultimate Temecula Girls’ Trip Weekend Guide 🍷 (Mom-Cation Itinerary)

The Ultimate Temecula Girls’ Trip Weekend Guide 🍷 (Mom-Cation Itinerary)

I packed a bag just for ME (not a kid’s bag, not a snack bag—a ME bag!) and escaped to Temecula wine country with my girls. Rolling hills, sun-drenched vineyards, and laughing until our cheeks hurt—it was the ultimate reset.

Whether you’re planning a birthday weekend, a bachelorette escape, or a much-needed “mom-cation,” here is everything to do, eat, drink, and explore in Temecula, plus where to stay and my exact 3-day itinerary!

What to Do: Boutique Shopping, Antiquing & Scenic Walks

1. Stroll Historic Old Town Temecula

Old Town is where the charm lives. Front Street features wooden boardwalks, boutique shopping, artisanal tasting rooms, and sweet treats around every corner.

Insider Tip: Go hungry and wear comfy walking shoes—you’ll do plenty of steps exploring every shop.

2. Retail Therapy at Citrus and Moss

An absolute must-stop boutique. They have a curated collection of candles, jewelry, apparel, and gorgeous home décor.

Insider Tip: Grab a sweet gift here for your babysitter, pet-sitter, or house-sitter back home!

3. Vintage Hunting at Granny’s Attic

Southern California’s biggest antique mall. Set a small budget with your group and see who unearths the best vintage treasure for ultimate bragging rights.

Insider Tip: Give yourselves at least a full hour here to dig through all the booths.

4. Golden Hour Walk at the Temecula Duck Pond

A scenic, low-key spot between wine tastings and shopping. Take a walk around the water, breathe in the fresh valley air, and recharge.

Insider Tip: The lighting here in the late afternoon makes for gorgeous group photos with your girls!

Where to Eat & Drink: Vineyards, Cocktails & Wood-Fired Pizza

1. Robert Renzoni Vineyards

Classic Italian estate vibes without the passport. You get rolling vineyard views, rich estate varietals, and hands-down the most delicious wood-fired pizza in the valley. Do not leave without ordering a pie for the table!

Insider Tip: Come hungry, walk through the grounds, and reserve your tasting ahead of time on busy weekends.

2. Truffle Pig Winery & Pig Pen Lounge

Laid-back, scenic, and fun. It’s the ideal spot for craft cocktails, appetizers, and chilled rosé with your crew.

Insider Tip: Check out the Pig Pen (their members club lounge) during non-member hours for a great vibe.

Where to Stay: Everhome Suites Temecula Wine Country

When choosing accommodations for a girls’ trip, location and convenience are everything. We stayed at Everhome Suites Temecula (27165 Madison Ave, Temecula, CA 92590), and it functioned as the ideal home base right off the main stretch:

  • In-Suite Kitchens: Having a full-size fridge and cooktop made it easy to keep wine bottles properly chilled, assemble our own DIY cheese boards, and keep snacks ready between vineyard stops.
  • Space to Hang Out: It felt like an apartment rather than a cramped hotel room, giving everyone space to spread out, get ready, and recap the day in our loungewear.
  • Prime Location & Amenities: Situated just minutes from Old Town, with free parking, fast Wi-Fi, and on-site laundry (so you don’t return home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes). Plus, if you ever return with the family, kids 18 and under stay free.

  • 👗 A breezy vineyard sundress or matching linen set (ideal for daytime tastings and photos)
  • 👜 A roomy canvas tote bag (for carrying local boutique purchases and wine bottles)
