It feels like just yesterday I was getting ready to welcome my second son into the world, and now he’s officially five years old! But this isn’t just any birthday—it’s his golden birthday! 🎉
I can hardly believe it’s been five years since I went through an entire pregnancy and delivery during a global pandemic. The memory of going to all those doctor’s appointments alone still feels surreal. There was so much fear and uncertainty, especially with the thought that my husband might not be allowed in the hotel room for the birth. Thankfully, those hospital restrictions were lifted a few weeks before my induction, and he was right there with me.
Xander is an absolute gift. He is so full of life and love and is the sweetest, most caring brother to Asher. He came to me exactly when I needed him most, and as it is written in the stars, he is my most gentle child and gives the very best hugs. We love singing and dancing together, and he brings so much joy to our lives.
This year is a big one for him. He’s officially in TK and at the same elementary school as his big brother, Asher. I’m so proud of the little boy he’s becoming.
So, while I’ll be over here crying myself to sleep in my feelings, I just want to wish my sweet Xander the happiest of golden birthdays. We love you more than words can say!
