Do you know your Dosha? I am trying to navigate how to best manage the incredible amount of stress I am currently dealing with day-to-day and all of the cortisol running through my body. I am educating myself on different health and wellness practices around the world and had the pleasure of spending an incredible afternoon with @shankaranaturals learning about Doshas, ghee, skincare and meditation.

Did you know your skin can tell you a lot about your mind-body balance? In Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of wellness, everything is connected! Understanding your dosha - Vata, Pitta, or Kapha - can be the key to unlocking radiant, healthy skin. Here's a quick guide:

Vata Dosha: Airy and light, Vata folks might experience dry, flaky skin. Focus on grounding routines - think warm baths, nourishing oils, and a calming bedtime ritual. ‍♀️

Pitta Dosha: Fiery Pitta shows up as sensitive, easily irritated skin. Cool it down with soothing aloe vera, creamy moisturizers, and a diet that avoids spicy foods.

Kapha Dosha: Earthy Kapha can lead to oily, congested skin. Embrace natural cleansers, masks with green clay or chickpea flour, and a lighter diet full of fresh fruits and veggies.

I had my pulse read and learned I am Pitta dominant and have been eating all of the wrong things!! I am excited to continue my journey with Ayurveda and incorporate #shankaranaturals skincare products into my daily routine.

It’s taken me six months to build up the courage

It’s taken me six months to build up the courage to post this video. April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month and I’m sharing my story in hopes it helps even just one person. Balancing hasn’t felt like this in a long time. Between caring for my amazing mom and her Parkinson’s journey, being a new momma again, and wrangling my two little adventurers (who are both growing way too fast!), there are days that feel beautifully messy, utterly raw, and profoundly meaningful all at once. I’ve cried more tears during this period of time than I have my entire life.

But here’s the thing: sharing our stories, even the messy ones, is how we connect. It’s how we realize we’re not alone in this wild ride called life. So, here’s a glimpse into my imperfectly perfect world, in the hopes that it resonates with someone out there. Maybe you’re facing your own battles, big or small. Maybe you’re feeling the weight of responsibility. But know this: you are strong, you are loved, and you are capable of incredible things. Sending you love and strength.
