My Summer Travel Must-Haves

My Summer Travel Must-Haves

We are officially in the dog days of summer! With the temperatures hotter than ever, us gals have to go the extra mile to stay cool and still look fabulous on our end of summer vacations. Here are my summer travel must-haves:

Figure Flattering Bikini

When it comes to sexy summertime travel, it is all about the bikini! Choose the right style and fit for you and embrace the sunshine!  I’m currently loving my Ted Baker old Hollywood style bikini, some super soft styles from Ark Swimwear and these amazingly priced sets from Forever 21.  Shop my favorite bikinis here:

Lightweight Dress

When the heat is at its highest, it is important to have a great selection of lightweight dresses.  You can throw on a dress, some cute sandals or wedges and fool the world that you feel fashionable in any situation! I’ve had this palm leaf print double v neck dress by Shein on repeat all summer long. Best part it is only $15!

Prints are a great option to disguise any sweating or wrinkles too.  Here are some other wonderful options you can shop to spice up your Instagram feed:

Stylish Comfortable Shoes

When traveling you usually clock a lot more hours on your feet and walk more than usual.  I’m always on the lookout for stylish comfortable shoes.  Last year I discovered Naot and this brand has been a travel must-have for me ever since!  Their uniquely engineered insoles are a blend of natural latex and cork that are designed to replicate the shape of the foot, just like the footprint we leave when walking the sand. Here I’m wearing the white leather Kaylas on my recent trip to Portugal:

Dry Shampoo

I use dry shampoo pretty much every week, but it is especially helpful during the hottest days of summer. I’ve tried more than fifteen different dry shampoos this past year, so I can confidently share with you that Dry Bar, Living Proof and Klorane are the best! I’ve ordered them from most fragrant to almost no fragrance at all according to your preference.  These dry shampoos all absorb into the scalp really well and don’t leave that frustrating white residue.  Shop them here:

Stylish Sunglasses

It is all about the sunglasses baby! Stylish sunglasses totally up your summer style game and give your eyes the day off from eye makeup.  Plus amazing sunnies shouldn’t break the bank!  My current go-to pair is these sassy Prive Revaux ‘The Artist’ shades.  They are only $30 bucks and you can get them in 2 days if you are an Amazon Prime Member.
Amazon has an incredible selection of Prive Revaux sunglasses that you can shop here!

I’m also a fan of the Australian brand Quay who sells a great selection at around a $60 price point.  Shop my favorite looks from Quay here:

Travel Toothbrush

No matter how long my travel day is, when I brush my teeth I’m instantly energized!  I never go anywhere without my Mouthwatchers Antimicrobial Floss Bristle Silver Folding Travel Toothbrush.  Did you know that bacteria on a toothbrush multiplies at an alarming rate doubling every 20 minutes?  Between uses, your toothbrush can grow up to 100 million micro organisms.  Scary right! But Mouthwatchers proprietary silver bristle technology naturally eliminates 99.9 % of bacteria in 6 hours, so bacteria simply cannot survive on this toothbrush for traveling.  I promise once you travel with this folding toothbrush, you will never switch back. Get yours for only $10 here!

Skin Serum

It is so important to stay on top of skin care in these last super hot weeks of summer.  Skin serums are a great way to give your skin the attention that it needs! I’m currently using iGlow’s 24/7 Skin Rescue by Nurse Nataly.  This lipid replacement serum provides instant relief for dry, stressed skin.  It features powerful ceramides, a superior form of Vitamin E, and 13 exotic oils including argan oil and kukui nut oil to soothe skin, minimize inflammation and restore suppleness and resiliency.  Get yours here!

Lightweight Jacket

If you are traveling to the beach, you may find the temperature will drop drastically when the sun goes down.  I always keep a lightweight jacket in my bag that folds up easily.  A great example is this pink and white windbreaker by Romwe.  I have taken it with me throughout my summer travels so far.  And you can’t beat the $12.99 price
